Data handling

Candidate URLs and POST bodies are sent to those sellers without authorization headers; the sellers may log them under their own policies. Do not submit credentials or unauthorized requests. No input, result or proof enters Mekler telemetry. Completed reports are encrypted for 30 day recovery.

Calling, result interpretation and recovery

Calling

Input: request_id, task and 2–4 unique candidates with id, public HTTPS URL, GET/POST method and optional POST JSON body. See the complete request schema.

Interpret the result

Status: ok means every requested candidate returned a supported complete challenge. A report can identify incomparable rails; it does not certify seller delivery.
Result: price_groups reports lowest quoted amounts only among supplied candidates on the same network/asset. Unknown fees/expiry/equivalence prevent lowest-total-cost claims.
Recovery: Original-proof recovery returns the same dated report for 30 days; it never refreshes source prices.

Semantics

Unsigned Mekler quotes do not contact candidate sellers. Work and encrypted storage finish before settlement.
Up to four HTTPS candidate requests, no redirects or forwarded credentials/payment signatures. POSTs are unsigned; a free operation could execute at the source, so submit only requests you authorize.
Every candidate must return a supported complete x402 v2 exact native USDC challenge before charging. A completed report can show no comparable rail group; unavailable, invalid or partial source coverage is uncharged.
At most 8 offers per source and 40000 response bytes. Source quote dates, fees, quality and expiry are distinct; missing information remains unknown.

Quote

POST intended JSON unsigned for an input-bound 402 without source IO. Sign one Mekler offer and resend identical JSON. Every candidate challenge and encrypted result must complete before settlement.

Authorization

Choose one accepts entry with a standard x402 v2 client. Check native USDC, network, recipient, amount and intended input before signing. Solana uses an SVM transaction; Base uses an EOA EIP-3009 authorization (USD Coin version 2). Send the proof with identical JSON input. No API key, token approval, bridge or Solana wallet is needed for Base. Never automatically fall back to another network.

Retry

Preserve identical JSON and original proof for 30 day result recovery; do not buy again after a timeout or pending result. Fresh request_id creates a new paid operation.

Finality

A 202 is pending. Finalized delivery carries PAYMENT-RESPONSE; provisional delivery is separately labeled and does not establish finality. Preserve the original proof instead of buying again.

Expiry

Ongoing service under recurring monthly authority. Budget warnings do not stop service. Short-lived quotes and recovery retention still expire.

Fees

CDP sponsors the payment transaction gas on both networks. The service price is the same on either network; wallet funding or exchange fees are separate.

Request binding

The server authenticates the complete quote and input and atomically binds the first accepted authorization to them. Standard Base EIP-3009 signs the money terms and nonce, not HTTP content. Keep signatures private; do not reuse an authorization for another quote, operation or body.
