Data handling

Buyer queries are disclosed to the selected public directories. Only fixed directory hosts are fetched; the target endpoint is not called. Reports and continuation history are encrypted; successful payment recovery lasts30days. Raw inputs, proofs, source payloads and results are excluded from telemetry.

Input: resource is one public HTTPS operation URL; queries is one to3 distinct buyer queries; poll_id is a fresh16–64 character identifier for each new report. merchant enables the CDP direct feed; market_slug enables the Agentic direct catalog. cursor is the unchanged server-generated history token. method defaults to POST. expected.description optionally enables exact-text comparison.

Interpret the result

Observations: found/missing are bounded observations, not assertions about all directory data. Direct listing and search are separate dimensions.
Confirmation: One repeated failure retains both attempts. Inconsistent samples remain unknown.
Alerts: New confirmed missing/drift faults and recoveries. Unchanged faults are suppressed using authenticated history.
Cost: All source attempts and latency remain visible. Public API supplier fees are zero; actual AWS cost is unknown.
Monitoring: Submit next_request as a new paid check at the chosen cadence. Keep original body and proof for recovering the purchased report.

Semantics

One operation per check. At most12 source observations and one confirmation each (24requests).
Each paid report is one new observation, including unchanged or missing listings. Total source failure is uncharged.
Search scope is the first20 endpoint results. Incomplete feeds/search, malformed results and timeouts stay unknown.
Store the next_request privately. New polls cost0.005USDC each; choose cadence in your agent. No server schedule is created.
History is limited to20 checks; encrypted continuation expires30days after the last completed check.

Quote

POST the intended body unsigned; it returns an input-bound402 without querying directories. Sign one offer and resend identical JSON. The signed request prepares and encrypts a report before settlement; unfinished work or a total source failure is uncharged.

Authorization

Choose one accepts entry with a standard x402 v2 client. Check native USDC, network, recipient, amount and intended input before signing. Solana uses an SVM transaction; Base uses an EOA EIP-3009 authorization (USD Coin version 2). Send the proof with identical JSON input. No API key, token approval, bridge or Solana wallet is needed for Base. Never automatically fall back to another network.

Retry

Retry identical JSON and the original proof after timeout, including after quote expiry. Successful reports recover exactly for30days; a fresh poll requires a fresh poll_id and a new purchase.

Finality

A202 is pending. Finalized delivery carries PAYMENT-RESPONSE; provisional delivery is separately labeled and does not establish finality. Preserve the original proof instead of buying again.

Expiry

Ongoing service under recurring monthly authority. Budget warnings do not stop service. Short-lived quotes and recovery retention still expire.

Fees

CDP sponsors the payment transaction gas on both networks. The service price is the same on either network; wallet funding or exchange fees are separate.

Request binding

The server authenticates the complete quote and input and atomically binds the first accepted authorization to them. Standard Base EIP-3009 signs the money terms and nonce, not HTTP content. Keep signatures private; do not reuse an authorization for another quote, operation or body.
